Spencer continued to say "I think it would have been really cool and maybe one day it will happen, but it was just one of those things with two bands trying to get on the same schedule is really tough".īut what about the future? Is there a chance that Jordan might produce the next Underoath record? According to Aaron, they'd still love to work together, sharing "We would love to. And we could really push each other and it would be something a band had never done before." But sadly, it wasn't meant to be, due to scheduling conflicts between Underoath and Bring Me The Horizon. Underoath vocalist Spencer shared "So between Tim and Chris and me and Aaron who are the people who make our records, and then Jordan and Oli, we could make something crazy. ![]() We sat down for a catch up with Underoath's Spencer Chamberlain and Aaron Gillespie on the Rock Sound Podcast this week, and they revealed that they'd started planning to have Jordan produce their most recent album 'Erase Me' after both bands finished touring together in 2017. Underoath's latest album 'Erase Me' was almost a group effort with Bring Me The Horizon's Jordan Fish and Oli Sykes. She also helped coordinate and lead the first Fellowship of Christian Athletes Volleyball Academy for 3rd-6th graders in Waco.And they'd still love to work together in the future. Most recently, Fish developed and led weekly volleyball classes through Mission Waco, a Christian nonprofit organization serving the poor and marginalized. In addition to her decorated volleyball coaching and playing careers, Fish has been a fixture serving in the communities that she has been a part of. Fish also served as a head coach for the Amager VK 16U team and worked clinics at various local middle schools in Copenhagen. ![]() A standout in the classroom as well, Fish was a two-time All-ACC Academic Team selection.įollowing her collegiate career, Fish played professionally in Denmark and Sweden where she was a two-time Most Valuable Player selection and led her team to their first Final Four appearance in program history. As one of the all-time greats in program history, Fish finished her career ranked fifth all-time in assists in school history, topping the 2,500 assist milestone. Fish was the primary setting coach for Rachel Smith who led the Big South in assists and was the only setter to be named to the All-Freshman team.įish was a standout in her own right on the court as a four-year letter-winner at the setter position at Virginia Tech. Prior to arriving at Hill College in 2017, Fish served as the assistant coach at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina where she helped lead the Buccaneers to their best season in 30 years. ![]() She was also a three-time District Coach of the Year and developed four players that received All-American honors during her four-year stint at Hill College. In four seasons at Hill, Fish led the Rebels to three trips to the National Tournament, four consecutive Region 5 North Championships, three conference titles, and a pair of undefeated conference seasons.įish was recently named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2021 and was tabbed to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 Coaches list, recognizing the top up-and-coming coaching talent in volleyball. ![]() Fish comes to DBU from Hill College where she spent four seasons at the helm and developed the Rebels into one of the premier NJCAA Division I programs in the country.
